Burkwood swim and dive hold a special place in my heart. I joined when I was just 4 years old, and participated in both teams for 16 years. I began as a junior dive coach in 2015, then transitioned to serve as assistant coach in 2017. From 2019 to 2022, I was head coach of the Burkwood dive team, and led the team to 3 consecutive league championship wins. I also received the Burkwood Diver of the Year award on two occasions, as well as the JRAC dive scholarship. As a recent VCU grad, I’m excited to be returning as head coach this summer, and ready to lead this wonderful team to another championship.
Olivia Terry has been apart of Burkwood’s swim and dive team since 2018. And has spent all of her summers here since. She is a 2026 graduate and is pursuing a career in cosmetology. You may have already seen her lifeguarding, teaching as swim instructor, or dive coaching! She is looking forward to working with all of the divers this season!
